# Wrifo - Where True Writing Happens > Wrifo is proof of authorship for written work. Nothing can be pasted in, and > every document is recorded as it is written. Teams are being let in a few at a time. --- ## Stop guessing whether AI wrote it Wrifo is a writing tool where nothing can be pasted in. Instead of a score you have to trust, you get the document being written, start to finish. - Every route to paste is blocked: shortcut, menu, drag and drop, middle-click, and the browser event under all of them. Comment fields too. - The whole of the writing is kept, so the document can be played back from the first word to the last. - What you get is evidence, not a verdict. Wrifo does not hand down a judgement on anybody. - The editor window has no network access at all, so a tampered page has nowhere to phone. --- ## AI detectors are not reliable enough to act on They disagree with each other about the same paragraph, they clear anything that has been through a humaniser, and not one of them publishes an error rate. That is not a basis for questioning somebody's work. ### They disagree with each other Run one paragraph through three detectors and you get three different answers. At least two are wrong, and nothing on the screen tells you which one to believe. No published error rate. No way to check the verdict. ### They are trivial to get around A humaniser rewrites the text until the score falls. It takes about a minute, and there is a new model to draft with every month. The finished text is all a detector ever sees. ### So we ask a different question - **A detector asks:** does this finished text look generated? - **Wrifo asks:** how did this document come to exist? Nobody can answer the first one reliably. The second is barely a question - the writing was kept as it happened, so you open the document and watch it being made. **What a reviewer can do:** watch the document being written, see how long it really took, comment on any line, approve it or send it back. --- ## One tool instead of three The draft sits in a doc. Each part feeds the next, which is why none of it has to be kept in step by hand. ### 1. Manage Set the work up before anybody writes a word. - **Workspaces** with their own people. Somebody can be in the company and in no workspace at all. - **Roles scoped to the workspace** - admin, editor or writer. A manager in one workspace is just a writer in the next. - **Your own labels**, with colours. A document carries as many as it needs, or none. - **Raise a document with a brief**: what to write, a word range rather than a single number, links to read first, start and due dates, and who it is for. - **A logbook** of who changed what, and when. ### 2. Write A desktop editor for writing, a browser for everything else. - **The editor is a download, not an install.** Put it where you like and run it. - **The browser opens any document too** - to read, review and comment. Writing stays in the app, because that is what makes the record worth anything. - **Spelling and grammar** underlined as you write, on a checker you host yourself. - **Comments anchored to a selection**, and the anchor travels with the text as the document changes around it. - **Version history**, grouped into sittings rather than a wall of tiny changes. - **Replay, summary and the integrity read**, all from inside the document. ### 3. Reports See what the workspace actually produced. - **Raised, in progress, in review, delivered** - counted as events with real timestamps, over whatever date range you pick. - **A day-by-day breakdown** so you can see where work piled up and where it moved. - **Per writer**: documents, words against target, active time, average pace, submits per document, comments per document. - **Filter by workspace, person or label**, and read the same figures for a team or for one person. --- ## Get Wrifo The editor is a download and needs no installation - put it where you like and run it. It is the one place the record can be made, and it is what the rest of this page rests on. --- ## Questions **Is this an AI detector?** No. Detectors guess at the finished text and disagree with each other. Wrifo records how the document was written, so you watch it happen instead of trusting a score. **Does the writer have to install something?** Nothing to install. The editor is a portable app - download it, put it anywhere, run it. Reviewing, commenting and reporting all work in a browser, with no download at all. **Is this surveillance of my writers?** No. Wrifo sees documents in your workspace and nothing else on the machine. A writer can open the record of their own work any time, and it is the same one a reviewer sees. **What happens when someone tries to paste?** It does not go in, the writer is told why, and the attempt is counted. Moving text they wrote in the same document is fine. **Can I show the record to someone outside the company?** Yes. Publish it at an unguessable link.
