The obvious alternative

AI detectors are not reliable enough to act on

They disagree with each other about the same paragraph, they clear anything that has been through a humaniser, and not one of them publishes an error rate. That is not a basis for questioning somebody's work.

Manage

Set the work up before anybody writes a word.

  • Workspaces with their own people. Somebody can be in the company and in no workspace at all.
  • Roles scoped to the workspace - admin, editor or writer. A manager in one workspace is just a writer in the next.
  • Your own labels, with colours. A document carries as many as it needs, or none.
  • Raise a document with a brief: what to write, a word range rather than a single number, links to read first, start and due dates, and who it is for.
  • A logbook of who changed what, and when.

The ones that come up first

Is this an AI detector?

No. Detectors guess at the finished text and disagree with each other. Wrifo records how the document was written, so you watch it happen instead of trusting a score.

Does the writer have to install something?

Nothing to install. The editor is a portable app - download it, put it anywhere, run it. Reviewing, commenting and reporting all work in a browser, with no download at all.

Is this surveillance of my writers?

No. Wrifo sees documents in your workspace and nothing else on the machine. A writer can open the record of their own work any time, and it is the same one a reviewer sees.

Is all pasting disabled?

If it was copied from outside the document - a website, another app, an AI chat or another document - it does not go in, the writer is told why, and the attempt is counted. Copying, cutting and pasting their own text within the same document works as normal.

Can I show the record to someone outside the company?

Yes. Publish it at an unguessable link. It carries the document and the record of it, and nothing else from your workspace.

Does it work offline?

No. Wrifo needs a connection to your server, because the record has to live somewhere the writer does not control.
